19 Churches in Horsham have taken up the
challenge to become a Fairtrade Church. This means that they have applied for a Fairtrade Poster Certificate for their
Church from the Fairtrade Foundation after the appropriate Council or Church meeting has agreed to:
- Using Fairtrade tea and coffee for all
meetings for which they have responsibility and after services.
- Moving forward on using other Fairtrade
products (such as sugar, biscuits and fruit)
- Promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight
and during the year through events, worship and other activities whenever possible.
We look forward to the day when every Horsham
Church is a Fairtrade
Church! If you are part
of a church that has not made this commitment then please follow this link to the Fairtrade Foundation website to find out
more about converting your church. http://www.fairtrade.org.uk/get_involved_faiths.htm
Please let Fairtrade Horsham know that your church has made this commitment.
We would be delighted to hear from any alternative
faiths locally who would like to use Fairtrade.
